Georgia Swimming is getting a new logo!
We had a designer come up with 3 different logos to represent the LSC. Now we need your swimmers, coaches, and families to help us choose which one will represent us for years to come by voting HERE. This link can also be accessed through all of our social media sites – Twitter, Instagram, and Facebook – and on our website homepage. Voting ends on August 31.
We want to encourage everyone to vote to feel more engaged as a part of the LSC and the bigger picture of who we are. We appreciate your willingness to share this information with your teams!
3rd Place Age Group/2nd Place Senior
Congratulations to our Marlins for the last two weekends of Georgia state championship swimming! Team results placed us third among Division 2 teams in Age Group (14 & Under) swimming. Team results placed us second among Division 2 teams at Senior State.
Two outcomes at the Age Group state championship were Mitch McClain–high point 10 & Under boys. Then it was Brendan Hausdorf–high point 12 year old boy swimmer.
From Senior State this past weekend: congrats to Derek Onken for his 2016 Olympic Trials cut in the 400 IM, clocking in at 4:25.67. That makes three Marlins headed to Omaha for Olympic Trials: Stephanie Peters, Connor Oslin, and now Derek Onken.
And then, take note of the Marlins headed to Southern Zone and Jr. Nationals early in August. Going to Zone competition in Tupelo, Mississippi are: Kamryn Carter, Yan Babayeuski, Cullen Fields, and Brendan Hausdorf. Off to Jr. Nationals in San Antonio, Texas are: David Dingess and Colin Riley.

Dear Marlins: This just in from California…
Our own Marlin, Dillon Connolly, was in a surfing accident in California sustaining an injury to his neck. We do not know the extent of his injury. But please keep him and his family in your best thoughts and prayers.
You can click on this link to a CaringBridge site that has been set up for him and for all who wish to offer encouragement and wish to get updates on Dillon’s progress. Click HERE, log in if you have a CaringBridge account, or simply give them your name and email address so as to access Dillon’s page.
Be well Dillon! Many thoughts and prayers are on the way!
