The Northern Divisionals meet is a Marlins Team meet and hosted this year by our friends at Tidal Wave Swimming. Thank you Tidal Wave!  The meet is at our familiar practice venue: the Mountain View Aquatic Center.  All Marlins–Developmental through Senior groups are expected to participate in this team meet and will be entered into events according to performance this season.  Divisionals is a team meet and all Marlins will want to swim this meet.

Georgia Swimming is comprised of several Divisions throughout the state, and this is the end of year short course championship meet for all the teams in the North Division to which we belong. All Marlins–Developmental through Senior groups–are expected to swim.

IMPORTANT: If for some reason you CANNOT PARTICIPATE, please email or text Coach Lim immediately (NOW), but only if you CANNOT PARTICIPATE.  EVF pic

Marlins Olympic Trials Cuts 2016

Marlins Make 2016 Olympic Trials Cuts!

US Olympic swim trials poolTwo Marlins have so far made Olympic Trials cuts for the U. S. A. trials meet in Omaha, Nebraska June 26-July 3, 2016.  They are: Connor Oslin in the 100 Back, and Stephanie Peters in the 200, 400, and 800 Free.  To have a look at the 2016 Olympic Trials standards, click HERE.

Marlins Love Dillon!!!

Our own Marlin, Dillon Connolly, was in a surfing accident in California sustaining an injury to his neck.  We do not know the extent of his injury.  But please keep him and his family in your best thoughts and prayers.

Marlins Team Fun Meet: Saturday / Sept. 13, 8-10 a.m. / MVAC

EVF picHeads up!  The Marlins kick off the beginning of the year and mark a first training cycle with the Marlins Team meet:  this Saturday, Sept. 13 from 8 to 10 a.m. at the Mountain View Aquatic Center.

Please sign up at practice the next two days; let your coaches know that you will be there.  (And thank you for those who already have notified us!) 

The meet will feature some fast relays, mixed-relays, a lot of 50’s, and no DQs! 

New Marlins will want to pick up their team caps and shirts!  Come cheer on your Marlins–new Marlins and continuing!  And…  Just because it’s a “fun” meet doesn’t mean it’s not going to be Marlin fast!

See you this Saturday, 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. at Mountain View Aquatic Center.

New Marlins Captains–Congratulations!

Congratulations to the following Marlins swimmers who were selected by their team mates to represent them as boy/girl Captains/Co-Captains for the 13 and under and 14 and older groups.  Here they are:

13 and Under group:

Marlins Captains and Co-Captains can help lead Marlins in performance, example, and character.  They can help to welcome new Marlins swimmers to the team and assist with our first-of-the-year Marlins team meet; a fun intra-squad meet each September at Mountain View Aquatic Center.

Congratulations Marlins!  Swimmers!  Coaches!

Did you know that the Marlins have been awarded a 2014 Silver Medal Club Award by USA Swimming in their National Club of Excellence program?  Yes we have Marlins,  yes we have! 

This award entitles our team to the designation as a “Silver Medal Club.”  We can use this designation and Club Excellence logo in all our communications.  We will receive a “Silver Medal Club” banner and we have the opportunity to apply for a grant to enrich our Marlins program.  So congratulations Marlins; Club of Excellence!
